Fesitival History
Following on from the great successes of All Saints’ Alive, under the directorship of Penny and Les Ryan, the Mumbles Festival of Music and the Arts has become a firm favourite in the calendar All Saints’ Church, in Mumbles and the wider community of Swansea and beyond.
In its new guise we are in our fourth year and we have had many wonderful concerts in the programmes. One of the highlights being a ‘from scratch’ performance of Stabat Mater by Welsh composer Karl Jenkins last year with the British Sinfonietta and wonderful soloists.
The Festival continues to go from strength to strength encouraging local artists and musicians as well as talented performers from further afield. It has been a delight to welcome young performers to our programme and this is something that we will be developing over the coming year, with the re- introduction of a school’s competition during the festival this year.
